It was a stone beach, which I found really fun. We spent a lot of hours rock collecting there, a nice break from swimming for me.

It was incredible, all in front of the porch grew these “weeds” (Mayumi-san said they blocked the view and she was going to have to cut them back) that the butterflies loved, so there was a constant buzz of butterflies in front of our ocean view~ <3<3

Our host mother gave us the chance to use her beach house and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences of the trip so far. What an amazing place. This was the view from our porch.

The view looking back at the area we’re staying in, it’s very funky and Osaka, to me. There’s a lot of small factories and graffiti, which is apparently much less common in Japan.

I walked to the local river. It wasn’t exactly scenic but I could definitely imagine high school kids in some drama hanging out there. :)
